With its cobbled streets, colorful azulejos, and old-world atmosphere, Alfama is one of the most romantic areas in Lisbon. It’s perfect for natural, candid couple photos that feel authentic and intimate.
As we walk through this maze of narrow alleys, we’ll stop at iconic landmarks like the Lisbon Cathedral (Sé), the flower-covered arches of Santa Luzia viewpoint, and of course, the breathtaking Miradouro das Portas do Sol – where you’ll get a dreamy panoramic view over the red rooftops and the Tagus River.
It’s also one of my favorite areas for a discreet surprise proposal in Lisbon, especially when planned at a quieter time of day.

2. Praça do Comércio – Elegant and wide open
Perfect for more editorial or minimalist-style photos. The grand arches, yellow walls, and light reflections from the river create a beautiful, modern contrast to the older parts of the city.

3. Belém – Gardens, monuments & riverside
For a more diverse photoshoot, Belém combines nature, architecture, and water. It’s great for longer sessions with varied backgrounds: we can shoot by the iconic Padrão dos Descobrimentos, the Torre de Belém, and along the riverside with the 25 de Abril Bridge behind you.
🌿 Bonus: You can even grab a pastel de nata and make it part of the shoot!
4. Bairro Alto & Bica – Colorful and fun
If you love Lisbon's iconic trams and want something playful, head to the Bica funicular and the charming backstreets of Bairro Alto. Late afternoon light here is magical, and the walls full of character give a creative vibe.

5. LX Factory – Industrial meets artsy
For couples who love a more urban or creative feel, LX Factory is a great location. Murals, bridges, cafes and industrial vibes make it unique and edgy.
